International investment forum to take place in Mogilev Oblast on 30 June – 1 July

MOGILEV, 14 March (BelTA) – The ninth international investment forum Mill of Success will take place in the city of Bobruisk on 30 June – 1 July, BelTA learned from Ruslan Strakhar, Chairman of the Economy Committee of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee.

The investment forum was held in Mogilev for eight years. It is the first time Bobruisk will host the event. The choice is not an accident since Bobruisk is the second largest city in the region in terms of population numbers and the industrial potential. Apart from that, Bobruisk is a cultural capital of Belarus in 2017. The forum’s program is being prepared taking into account the honorary status, too. The forum will include three panels focusing on innovations from science to production sector, the development of tourism and culture, and the free economic zone Mogilev.

Ruslan Strakhar said: “Certainly, during the event we intend to present the best proposals before investors in priority development areas. Focus will be made on introducing innovations. The sphere of tourism and culture will be rediscovered from the point of view of profitable investments. For instance, investments in building tourism facilities, cultural and entertainment facilities, the creation of theme parks, modern hotels and camping sites will be discussed.”

Invitations have been sent out to all the partners and twinned cities. According to preliminary information, guests from over 40 countries are expected to take part in the forum. The number will include representatives of government agencies, chambers of commerce and trade, the diplomatic corps, and prominent international companies.
