Mogilev Oblast, China’s Jiangsu Province to intensify cooperation
MINSK, 27 September (BelTA) – There is a need to intensify the interregional cooperation between Mogilev Oblast and the Chinese twin region – Jiangsu Province, Belarus’ Economy Minister Vladimir Zinovsky said at the Jiangsu Province-Mogilev Oblast business forum in Nanjing, China, BelTA learned from the website of the Belarusian Economy Ministry.
Vladimir Zinovsky praised the current level of relations between Belarus and China, which can be described as trust-based comprehensive strategic partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation. He took note of the shift from project loan financing to direct investment, the alignment of the production potentials of the two countries within the Belt and Road initiative. The minister also spoke about the advantages of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone as a unique project for investing.
The forum showcased new doing business conditions in the Great Stone Industrial Park, the investment and tourism potential of Mogilev Oblast and FEZ Mogilev. A business matchmaking session was held for companies of Mogilev Oblast and Jiangsu Province.
The Belarusian delegation is in China on a working visit on 24 September-1 October. The major goal of the visit is to develop interregional trade and economic cooperation and hold an information campaign on investing opportunities and doing business conditions in the Great Stone Industrial Park.
