Belarus’ Mogilev Oblast, Russia’s Oryol Oblast sign cooperation roadmap

MOSCOW, 27 September (BelTA) – Governor of Belarus’ Mogilev Oblast Vladimir Domanevsky and Governor of Russia’s Oryol Oblast Vadim Potomsky have signed the 2016-2018 cooperation roadmap, BelTA learnt from the press service of the government of the Russian region.

The document envisages cooperation in trade, economy, investment, the agro-industrial sector, education, culture, the youth policy, and also in industry and construction. Among the events of the roadmap will be joint seminars-presentations aimed at studying the innovative technologies used in Mogilev and Oryol Oblasts. The document also envisages assistance in establishing business contacts between SMEs of the two oblasts and also the exchange of business missions.

The document provides for an exchange of the advanced experience in farm production, scientific experience in seed farming, livestock breeding, development of raw material bases for milk-processing plants. The document also envisages the participation of Mogilev Oblast representatives in the annual event Field Day in Oryol Oblast.

The parties are mulling over expansion of supplies of chemical products to the companies of Oryol Oblast, development of cooperation in furniture production, including the deliveries of materials from Mogilev Oblast. Among other areas of cooperation is the production of modern elevating equipment with the participation of Mogilevliftmash and industrial companies of Oryol Oblast. Apart from that, the parties will consider the replacement of lifts and the organization of lift deliveries as part of the new construction projects in Oryol Oblast.

Under the roadmap, the two oblasts will explore the ways to develop cooperation in designing and construction of houses (residential neighborhoods with necessary social and engineering infrastructure), agro-towns in Oryol Oblast.

Cultural cooperation envisages the participation of representatives of Oryol and Mogilev Oblasts in forums, festivals and competitions. In particular, there are plans for participation of Mogilev Oblast representatives in the international folklore festival The Trinity Round Dances in Orlovskoye Polesie.

As for the education sector, the parties will share experience in enhancing the qualifications of school and vocational college teachers and organize the participation of delegations of students in cultural and educational events. The parties will assist each other in the establishment and development of cooperation between educational establishments.
