Belarusian Domostroenie to double export of wooden houses to France

MOGILEV, 17 January (BelTA) –The Domostroenie branch of the Shklov-based newsprint mill will build and ship more than 70 frame-panel houses to France in 2017 or twice as much as in 2016, representatives of the company told BelTA.

The negotiations with French real estate development companies started several years ago. The first orders for building 37 stick-frame houses were signed only in 2016. “The product is popular with French customers because our houses are delivered almost ready to use, have good heat-insulating properties, and their installation along with finishing works take under three months. French companies also appreciate the high quality and competitive prices of our products,” the source said.

All the main elements of the frame-panel houses are produced at the factory, so it remains only to install the ready-made structure at the construction site. Frame-panel houses do not shrink and can be erected at any time of the year. Internal and external finishing can be done immediately after the erection of a house. “Our houses are very durable. A house like this can last from 30 to 50 years, provided the construction technology is fully observed. In addition, we use only natural wood, which makes our products environmentally friendly. The use of flexible floating structures in construction provides frame-panel houses with high seismic resistance and durability,” the experts noted.

They said that the partners of the Domostroenie have signed enough orders for the enterprise to operate almost at its full capacity. For example, the company has signed a major contract with the Mogilevoblselstroy enterprise to produce houses made of glued laminated timber. The enterprise has also launched the production of a trial consignment of summerhouses made of glued laminated timber against the order of its Latvian partners for the subsequent commercialization of the products in France and the United States.

The housing construction branch Domostroenie of the Shklov-based newsprint mill was founded in 2005. The company is engaged in designing and construction of wooden houses to both individual and model designs. The branch also produces moldings (floor board, battens, timber imitation), sawn timber and glued laminated timber with maximum length up to 18 meters.
