Belarusian MTZ ships first compact tractors to Colombia

MOGILEV, 28 November (BelTA) – The first few compact tractors Belarus 321 made by OAO Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units (BZTDiA, a division of the Belarusian industrial group MTZ) were shipped to Colombia in November, representatives of the company told BelTA.

In line with the contract with the Colombian company MTZ INGENIERIA SAS two Belarus 321 tractors went to South America. The tractors were chosen as the best fit for Colombian farmers.

The Belarus 321 tractor is equipped with the Italian three-cylinder engine made by Lombardini, which boasts low harmful emissions and high output in combination with small operational costs. This model is a modification of the Belarus 320.4 variety. It uses a 4x4 wheel formula. The Belarus 321 tractor has no driver’s compartment but a plastic canopy to protect the driver from the sun and bad weather.

With its compact size, a small turning radius, and a rather environmentally friendly engine the tractor is irreplaceable for operations in greenhouses, nurseries, gardens, and inside all kinds of agricultural premises.

The contract was signed with the Colombian company MTZ INGENIERIA SAS thanks to rather vigorous negotiations with the Colombian company, which is a dealer of the Belarusian tractor maker MTZ, the leading company of the industrial group MTZ. MTZ INGENIERIA SAS sold MTZ tractors in the past but primarily more powerful ones.

Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units was established in 1945. At present it is part of the industrial group MTZ. The enterprise started making compact tractors in 2007 under a license from OAO MTZ.
