Belarus and Bangladesh discussed intensifying political, trade and economic cooperation

The fifth round of Belarusian-Bangladeshi political consultations took place in the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka, as part of the visit of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Yevgeny Shestakov. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

“During the consultations, special emphasis was placed on intensifying political, trade and economic cooperation, expanding the legal framework of bilateral relations and exchanging business visits. Substantive agreements were reached on priority steps to enhance the dialogue between Minsk and Dhaka in various areas and ways of its further development, including holding the second meeting of the Joint Belarusian-Bangladeshi Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, as well as mutual visits at various levels,” the press service of the Foreign Ministry said.

The parties considered a wide range of issues of Belarusian-Bangladeshi relations, including cooperation in the scientific and technical sphere, in the fields of education, culture and tourism, as well as interaction in international organizations. In addition, the diplomats exchanged views on current issues of the regional and global agenda.
