Belarus-Venezuela joint ventures plan to supply products to South American countries

MINSK, 7 September (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Oleg Paferov met with Vice President for Economic Affairs, Industry and Commerce Minister Carlos Faria of Venezuela on 6 September 2016, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties reviewed the performance of the VeneMinsk Tractores joint venture assembling tractors and the MAZ VEN joint venture assembling trucks. The parties also discussed the prospects of exporting the assembled tractors and trucks to the countries of the countries of the Caribbean, MERCOSUR (Southern Common Market), Alba (alliance of Latin American and Caribbean countries) and Central America.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the current issues of the cooperation between Belarus and Venezuela in industrial area.
