Over 20 countries to partake in Mogilev investment forum

MOGILEV, 17 October (BelTA) – Businessmen from more than 20 countries will take part in the 7th international investment forum, Mogilev Oblast – a Path to Success. The forum will take place in Mogilev on 5-7 November, BelTA learnt from head of the department of investment and innovation activity of the economy committee at Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee Yevgeny Yakimov.

One hundred representatives of business circles and delegations confirmed their participation in the forum. Among them are investors from Russia, Ukraine, China, Germany, Poland, Ireland, Serbia, Finland and Latvia. “We plan to sing $150 million worth of investment agreements on the implementation of big projects in energy, construction, agricultural production and public utilities. We also plan to conclude protocols of intent on the implementation of investment projects estimated at approximately the same sum,” Yevgeny Yakimov said.

The forum is held once in two years and gathered representatives of the world renowned banks, European business organizations, regional and national authorities, chambers of commerce and industry of foreign states, government bodies. The main event at the forum will be an exposition-presentation of investment and innovation projects of Mogilev oblast.

“We see a big interest in the event from businessmen of the EU and the CIS, institutes of supreme authorities and the international business elite due to its significant economic constituent,” Yevgeny Yakimov said.
