Small business geenrates 21% of Mogilev oblast budget revenues in 2007

The small business of the Mogilev oblast generated 20.8% of tax revenues in the Mogilev oblast in 2007, BelTA learnt from the economy committee of the oblast executive committee. Tax revenues to the oblast budget increased by Br76.9 billion, or 23.8% as against 2006. The Mogilev oblast allocated Br421.7 million to the state programme for small business support in 2007. Small business created 11,745 working places, 65% of the total amount of the workplaces set up in the oblast. The business support centers serviced 8,000 clients in 2007 (18.4% up over 2006), organised 121 seminars. As of January 1, 2008 the Mogilev oblast had 4,370 commercial organizations, 24,587 sole traders, 275 farms, 159 juridical entities with foreign investments and 21 foreign juridical entities. The number of businesses raised by 17.4% over 2006.
