MINSK, 30 May (BelTA) – The Belarusian parliament plans to ratify the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) Treaty as soon as possible, the same as Belarus’ EEU Treaty partners will do, Chairman of the House of Representatives’ Permanent Commission on International Affairs Nikolai Samoseiko told media on 30 May, BelTA has learned.
The MP added that the document had not been submitted to the parliament yet.
Talking to reporters Nikolai Samoseiko stressed that “sooner or later the Eurasian integration will come to a political vector”. He also believes that such vector will take its rise from the parliamentary segment. In his words, in the future the EEU Treaty region may have an inter-parliamentary assembly or even a common parliament.
