Buzovsky: The Year of Youth will draw attention to youth issues
MINSK, 17 October (BelTA) – The declaration of the Year of Youth in 2015 will attract attention to youth issues, First Secretary of the BRSM Youth Union Central Committee Igor Buzovsky told BelTA.
“The announcement of 2015 as the Year of Youth will draw the attention to youth matters. There will be an opportunity to consolidate all the opinions on the issues that arise during the work with young people. Keeping in mind the fact that the focus is made on the youth in many areas of activity today, it will be possible to build a well-defined structure for getting high productivity from young people. Besides, the Year of Youth means new opportunities for all young people,” Igor Buzovsky said.
According to him, the decision is currently central and important. “The forthcoming year is also important for its socially significant events, i.e. the presidential election. Young people should show their social activity and make their choice. That is why we have launched a project, Open Dialogue: The Youth of Belarus: Traditions and the Future. Young people will be bale to voice their ideas that will be further submitted for consideration to the government authorities,” he said.
Igor Buzovsky also stressed that the announcement of the Year of Youth is a big responsibility for the Belarusian Youth Union. “This proposal has been put forward on behalf of the entire young generation. We are grateful that the head of state supported this idea. At the forthcoming BRSM meeting in December 2014 we will develop a strategy for the Year of Youth in 2015,” he added.
