Belarus' agricultural output up 4.1% in 2017
MINSK, 18 January (BelTA) – Belarusian agricultural enterprises of all types (state-run agricultural enterprises, private farming enterprises, and personal subsidiary economies) turned out Br18.2 billion worth of agricultural products in 2017, up 4.1% from 2016 in comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee of Belarus.
The top contributor is Minsk Oblast (23.8% of the country's agricultural output). It is followed by Brest Oblast (18.7%), Gomel Oblast (16.8%), Grodno Oblast (16.4%), Mogilev Oblast (12.4%), and Vitebsk Oblast (11.8%).
Agricultural corporations, including private farmers, accounted for 81.8% of the country's agricultural output while personal subsidiary economies of Belarusians turned out 18.2% of the total.
