Belarus, Spain to step up cooperation in research and technology
MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) – Belarus and Spain plan to develop cooperation in the area of research and technology. The matter was discussed by Belarus’ Ambassador to France with concurrent accreditation to Spain Pavel Latushko and Spain’s Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Ignacio Ybanez Rubio in Madrid, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in France.
The parties talked over the organization of the Belarusian pavilion at Transfiere expo which is due in Malaga on 15-16 February. Representatives of the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus and the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness of Spain plan to hold bilateral talks as part of the expo to discuss prospects of cooperation in the area of research and technology.
Close attention was paid to the preparations for ministerial consultations that will highlight the development of political, trade and economic cooperation, and also humanitarian activity.
Pavel Latushko and Ignacio Ybanez Rubio also talked over the forthcoming events to mark the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Spain.
